Sales Distribution Channel Manager

ASME (American Society for Mechanical Engineers) is a world-renowned, member-based professional organization focused on serving the technical, educational and other programmatic needs of the engineering and technology communities on a worldwide basis. ASME generates approximately $115 million annually from the sale of products and services and provides a wide range of mission focused programs and activities. We are seeking a dynamic sales professional to serve as Sales Distribution Channel Manager for our regional and global distribution partners. This role is responsible for providing technical and sales support, developing new business and growing existing accounts of ASME products and services. The manager must ensure distribution partners have the marketing, technical and sales resources needed throughout sales cycles. This individual will focus on facilitating communication with resellers, improving client utilization and product/service adoption rates, managing partner profiles, preparing and delivering presentations. In addition, this role is accountable for internal reporting metrics, monitoring competitors' activity, planning and communicating channel activities. Direct responsibility for sales performance, pipelines and forecasts lies with this position. This position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience along with a minimum of 5 years' technical sales experience or experience in the standards development and/or STEM publishing industry. Position requires a strong understanding of the Subscription Purchase models along with a demonstrated knowledge of Metadata, and technical support. Must have a history of working successfully with third parties and in a collaborative, team environment. Flexibility for global travel needed, approximately 15%. Other core competencies required include: Sales Acumen - Adept at developing product knowledge and sales approach; proven track record of impacting sales growth while cultivating strong customer relationships and influencing outcomes Communication Skills - Exceptional verbal and written communications skills demonstrated through robust presentations, effective negotiations, well-executed sales strategy support and clear, concise written proposals Analytical Aptitude - Skilled at preparing reports to depict sales and forecasting; ability to assess findings and identify solutions surrounding performance factors such as how market is accepting products, bundles and delivery Technology Savvy - High level of competency using Microsoft Office products and working knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
