Instructor - Surgical Technology

Berkeley College, with campuses located in the New Jersey/New York metropolitan area, seeks full-time faculty to teach courses in its Surgical Technology program at the Woodland Park, New Jersey location.
The Surgical Technology instructor facilitates student learning and evaluates progress in the classroom and mock surgical labs. The instructor must be able to provide didactic and clinical teaching experiences to prepare students in the area of surgical technology. Experience in educational theory and methodology (curricular design, development, implementation, and evaluation) as well as use of learning management systems and instructional design.
Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design and deliver surgical technology instruction to students through the development of instructional plans to meet course competencies, and develop activities which support lesson objectives, and deliver the instruction as approved
Deliver excellence in learning-centered instruction by establishing a classroom environment conducive to learning and student involvement as well as effectively plan and prepare for classes and student success
Assess student needs and goals, provide advising and advocacy, meet with advisors to discuss student progress, and evaluate student progress for program continuation or completion
Prepare official records, forms, data-tracking reports, attendance reports, and related documentation requirements
Engage in professional learning activities to improve student outcomes
Demonstrated ability to engage in a culture of excellence focused on quality instruction, continuous quality improvement, and self-assessment of performance
Demonstrated ability to take the organization's mission, vision, and values and deploy them in order to achieve a culture of excellence
Maintaining office hours, tutoring sessions and participate in College wide activities such as faculty day and graduation
Perform other professional duties to support instruction and college goals as assigned.

RequirementsBachelor's degree required; master's degree in a related discipline is preferred. Current healthcare license and/or certification (i.e., CRCST, CST, RN, etc.) also a plus. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
