Position Overview: As the Bookkeeper, responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records of billing and accounts receivable, performing collections actions, posting revenue and expenses and the assist office manager with administrative functions.

Responsibilities of theBookkeeper:

  • Maintain accounting filing system
  • Create and out 1099s at the end of year
  • Ensure accurate billing and accounts receivable
  • Ensure clients pay in a timely fashion
  • Send invoices/estimates and quotes to customers
  • Conduct periodic reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy
  • Process credit card payments
  • Post revenues and expenses into general ledger, AP/AR
  • Provide general office support: scheduling, taking phone calls, responding to emails and other areas to support operations
  • Communicate professionally at all times with customers via telephone and emails
  • Determining rates and budgets
  • Matching and verifying billable hours
  • Recording all accounts payable

Qualifications for the Bookkeeper:

  • Bachelor sAssociates Degree in Accounting or related
  • Applicants must be proficient in QuickBooks & Excel
  • Experience in accounts reconciliation/accounts receivable /general understanding of accounting principals
  • Organized and ability to retrieve information immediately
  • Disciplined, strong work ethics, self-starter, team player, diligent, honest, ethical and positive in their thinking and business outlook
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to build relationships with clients
  • Excellent follow-up skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor sAssociates Degree in Accounting or related

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
