Berkeley College is currently seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our team-inspired Financial Aid department in Woodland Park, New Jersey.
Under the direction of the Woodland Park Director of Financial Aid, the Administrative Assistant will coordinate and oversee office administrative duties in support of the Financial Aid office functions. General responsibilities include maintaining the front desk/reception area of the office and greeting current and prospective students, overseeing student computer kiosks and answering general financial aid questions, supporting administrators and other financial aid staff, answering telephones, handling mail, document scanning, faxing, and photocopying.

RequirementsQualified candidates must have the ability to work well in a fast-paced, student-centric environment and be customer service oriented.
Required skills:
An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree with a minimum one-two years of experience working in a similar capacity.
Commitment to excellence in customer service.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Proficient in MS Office applications ? Word, Excel and Outlook.
Highly organized, detail oriented and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle a variety of duties.
Excellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
Proficiency in PeopleSoft highly desirable.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
