Summary:
Press Operator, Second Shift, is responsible for properly operating machinery to produce customers' product to specifications.
Read and follow procedures on customer work order.
Maintain and ensure press equipment and surrounding area is clean and in proper operating condition daily.
Set up press to include the following:
loading ink, shrink, tooling, and plates.
Read and follow all guidelines on Job Ticket for each order.
Obtain quality control approval and management signature prior to production run.
Fill out production paperwork and file approved pre-production samples daily.
Obtain samples during run.
Report any concerns or discrepancies to management.
Maintain press, tools gauges, and equipment in clean, orderly and safe manner.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Comply with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.
Skills:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
Should be mechanically inclined or have a willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical and ono-mechanical parts.
Regularly required to stand and use hands to handle or feel.
Regularly required to reach with hands and arms; talk, hear and smell.
Frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, twist, turn, or crouch.
Frequently required to push and pull carts and racks with and without product and may call for or is assigned assistance if needed and/or as necessary.
Regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds (sideways, down and/or overhead.
Regularly required to team-lift up to 70 pounds.
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
